Head Coach

Shane Amos

Coach Shane Amos is in his 36th season at Walton High School and his 39th year overall as a teacher and coach. Shane is currently in his 23rd year as the Varsity Baseball Coach for the Raiders.

Shane is a 1981 graduate of Osborne High School, where he played catcher and designated hitter. He lettered in baseball, wrestling, and football. Shane is also a graduate of the University of West Georgia and the University of Alabama.

From 1995 to 1997, Shane coached at Pebblebrook High School, leading the team to its first playoff appearance in 10 years. As the head coach for Walton Baseball, Shane has won over 500 games and led the Raiders to five State Championship Finals (2007, 2008, 2015, 2016, and 2025), bringing home the State Championship titles in 2007, 2016, and 2025.

Shane was named the Georgia Dugout Coach of the Year and the Marietta Daily Journal Coach of the Year in 2007, 2015, 2016, and 2025. In 2016, Shane was named the ABCA Division 3 Coach of the Year. In 2017, Shane was inducted into the Georgia Dugout Hall of Fame.

Shane and his wife, Cathy, have been married for 35 years and have two daughters, Ashley Kate Amos Siciliano and Abby Amos Driskell, as well as two wonderful sons-in-law, Will Siciliano and Austin Driskell.
