Parker ORR

Coach Parker Orr is entering his 4th season as a Varsity Assistant Coach for the Raiders.

Parker has directed the Raiders offense for head baseball coach Shane Amos the past 3 seasons, while primarily working with hitters, catchers & assisting the managers (with data & stat keeping). During the 2025 season, the Raiders tallied 326 runs (1st All-Time), 132 stolen bases (1st All-Time), 337 hits (2nd All-Time), 268 RBI (2nd All-Time), .317 team batting average (7th All-Time) & 33 wins (T-1st All-Time). Parker won 2024 7A Assistant Coach of the Year presented from the Georgia Dugout Club.

Parker is a native of Marietta, GA where he was a 4-year starter for Pope H.S.’s Varsity baseball team from 2014-2017. As a senior, Parker was named the Most Valuable Player and 1st Team All State by the Georgia Dugout Club. In college, Parker played two years at Georgia Highlands Junior College and was named 1st Team All-Conference as a Freshman and 2nd Team All-Conference as a Sophomore. Parker later attended Eastern Kentucky University to continue his baseball career before leaving Richmond, KY to return to Cobb County to finish his degree and further advance his coaching career.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in history education and is currently working as a Special Education teacher at Walton. Also, Parker served as the HC for Freshman Football for three seasons.

Parker lives in Roswell, Georgia with his beautiful wife, Alicia.
