Walton Varsity Nabs Win Over North Forsyth Despite Early 3-Run Inning

Even though Walton Raiders Varsity gave up three runs in the fourth inning, they still defeated North Forsyth 10-3 on Saturday. The big inning for North Forsyth came thanks to singles by Garrett Sagro and Kaiden Ellis.

Walton Raiders Varsity scored four runs in the fourth inning. Micaiah Williams, Eli Pilger, and Carl Adler all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Oliver Wood led things off on the mound for Walton Raiders Varsity. He surrendered three runs on six hits over four innings, striking out two and walking one.

Brett Barfield led things off on the pitcher’s mound for North Forsyth. He went three and a third innings, allowing eight runs on nine hits, striking out four and walking zero. Baylor Homesley and #10 entered the game as relief, throwing one and two-thirds innings and one inning respectively.

Walton Raiders Varsity tallied 11 hits in the game. Pilger, Adler, and Jack Story all managed multiple hits for Walton Raiders Varsity. Pilger went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Walton Raiders Varsity in hits. Walton Raiders Varsity was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Williams made the most plays with seven.
