Stewart of Walton Raiders Varsity Shuts Out Tift County, 11-0

Colin Stewart shut down Tift County, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Walton Raiders Varsity to a 11-0 victory on Friday

Walton Raiders Varsity got on the board in the first inning, scoring one run when Carl Adler singled.

Walton Raiders Varsity scored four runs in the fourth inning. Walton Raiders Varsity‘s big inning was driven by singles by Jared Jones, Harry Mintz, and Jack Story.

A single by Mason Avant in the first inning was a positive for Tift County.

Stewart led things off on the hill for Walton Raiders Varsity. He lasted five innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out four and walking one.

Mason Avant was on the pitcher’s mound for Tift County. He allowed six hits and four runs over two innings, striking out three and walking one. Owen Manning and Luke Dorman entered the game as relief, throwing two and two-thirds innings and one-third of an inning respectively.
