Walton Varsity Takes Victory Over North Cobb, 6-1

Walton Raiders Varsity defeated North Cobb 6-1 on Friday, getting things started in the first inning when Kristian Campbell singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Colin Stewart earned the victory on the mound for Walton Raiders Varsity. He lasted five innings, allowing five hits and zero runs while striking out four and walking one. Ben Stoddard and JD Key entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Ethan Fry toed the rubber for North Cobb. He went five innings, allowing five runs on six hits and striking out three. Jacob Mann threw two innings in relief.

Walton Raiders Varsity collected eight hits. Adam Haber and Jared Jones all managed multiple hits for Walton Raiders Varsity. Haber led Walton Raiders Varsity with three hits in four at bats.

Gavin Smith went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead North Cobb in hits.
