The Walton High School Raiders baseball program, based in Marietta, Georgia, boasts a rich tradition of excellence, highlighted by four state championships won in 1992, 2007, 2016, and most recently in 2025 where they claimed the GHSA Class 6A State Championship by sweeping Lowndes.
The team concluded their dominant 2025 season with an impressive 34-8 overall record and a 14-4 record within Region 5-6A, finishing second.
Leading the program for two decades is Head Coach Shane Amos, who has guided the Raiders to three of their four state titles and was inducted into the Georgia Dugout Club Hall of Fame in 2018. Walton is recognized for developing talented players, some of whom have advanced to college and professional levels, and the program emphasizes both fundamental skill development and a competitive spirit.
Strong support is provided by the Walton Raider Dugout Club (WRDC), a non-profit organization vital for fundraising and community involvement, helping maintain the program's high standards. The team utilizes "The Yard," their home baseball facility, which is part of a larger, recently completed athletics complex.
This commitment to excellence extends beyond baseball, as Walton High School has earned multiple Georgia Athletic Directors Association Director's Cup titles for its overall athletic success.
