Pierce Smith
Coach Pierce Smith is entering his 6th season on the Walton coaching staff and 2nd year as Varsity Pitching Coach.
Previously, he was the Junior Varsity head coach for three seasons before taking over the Varsity Pitching Staff and leading them to a state championship in 2025. Pierce graduated from Walton in 2015 where he played for Coach Amos and received All State and All Metro Atlanta honors his senior year as a pitcher.
Pierce spent two seasons pitching in Junior College at Darton State and Chattahoochee Valley Community College where he helped lead Darton to their first JUCO World Series appearance. As a sophomore at CVCC, Pierce helped the pirates break a program record for regular season wins. After Junior College, Pierce went on to pitch at the University of Mississippi where he was a part of the 2018 SEC champions and receiving his degree in business management. Also, Pierce spent two seasons in professional baseball at the independent level pitching in the Pecos, USPBL, Pioneer, and the American Association League.
Pierce coaches and works for the East Cobb Yankees & Roswell Pirates travel organizations. Pierce currently resides in Smyrna, GA.
